Lindsay Lohan Under Investigation In Disappearance Of $2,500 Necklace

Lindsay Lohan is once again under police investigation, this time for the possible theft of a $2,500 necklace.

Detectives obtained a search warrant Tuesday for Lohan's Venice, Calif., home to look for the necklace, but the jewelry was returned before the warrant was executed, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a news release Wednesday. Police did not specify who returned the necklace.

Lohan is now under investigation for possible grand theft, Officer Bruce Borihanh told.

The necklace, described by police as "one of a kind," was stolen from a Venice store on Jan. 22, nearly three weeks after Lohan was released from court-ordered rehab, stemming from her 2007 DUI case.

Lindsay Lohan, 24, remains on probation and is due in court Feb. 25 for a progress hearing.

Police said, Lindsay Lohan committed battery, violated probation

The stolen necklace case is the second active one against the actress, who is also under investigation by Riverside County prosecutors for alleged battery on a Betty Ford Center staffer during a December altercation.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden S. Fox told Lohan in October that she will face a mandatory 180-day jail sentence if she violates probation, which requires her to obey all laws and submit to random drug tests.Source URL: https://kmhighlights.blogspot.com/2011/02/lindsay-lohan-under-investigation-in.html
