Singer Pauley Perrette, as the 'goth chick' on CBS crime show 'NCIS', is launching a single, 'Fire in Your Eyes' with hip hop artist B. Taylor.
Pauley was the lead singer in the all-female band Lo-Ball which contributed their song, 'Can't Get Me Down' to the 'Legally Blonde' soundtrack. Perrette also recorded the song 'Fear' under the name 'Stop Making Friends', which was included in the NCIS. The Official TV Soundtrack in 2009 and on a season 6 episode of the show.
Pauley reportedly met Navy Veteran and Classic Motown endorsed artist B. Taylor through NCIS Navy liaisons. The two have since collaborated on their single in a recording studio, with Taylor penning the song and Perrette putting 'the magic to it'.
Working with B. Taylor making music has been not only inspiring because he is so talented, but also a complete joy because he has such a generous and amazing spirit, Pauley said in a statement.
Pauley and B. Taylor bonded over their mutual love of gospel music and spent time together at the actress' church, Hollywood United Methodist.
Pauley told CBS News, We were just hanging out afterward at church, playing piano and messing together. I'm all over the map, every style, every genre, I've been in rock 'n roll my whole life. And B. and I, since childhood, started out in the gospel world, singing in church.
Their connection was mutual, Taylor said of his newfound friend, She was just so charismatic and had great spirit. I wrote the song and Pauley put the magic to it.
Pauley plays eccentric forensic scientist Abby Sciuto, On 'NCIS', which is based on the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. Pauley studied criminology in college and had begun her master's degree program for criminal science before ending up in the entertainment industry.
Their single 'Fire in Your Eyes' is set for an iTunes release on May 3, 2011.
