Jessica Simpson is coming to her sense, since Us says she's securing that $100 million net value from fiance Eric Johnson. Maybe that WWD.com story about the success of her fashion line smacked some sense into her.

There will definitely be a prenup for the couple, a source tells Us. Jessica has said she wants one. Jessica and Eric have talked about it. Eric understands that there needs to be a prenup. He's supportive of it.

While the source says the ex-NFLer is not a gold digger, we're still pretty sure he was salivating when he heard Jess' clothing line will possibly break $1 billion in revenue this year. But yet the source insists the guy, who's reportedly flat broke, really loves her. He's a low key guy. He's not into the glitz and materialism of Hollywood at all."

Well that's good, because part of the reason she's moved into fashion is because she can't get work in movies anymore. But hey, she had to finance her foray into fashion somehow.

Jessica Simpson has been quietly building a fashion empire. Women's Wear Daily reports that Simpson is the face and boss of a nearly $1 billion business. According to the report, her lines - which include shoes, accessories, denim, swimwear, watches and fragrances have seen a combined gross of $750 million in retail sales this year. And Simpson shows no signs of slowing down. For fall 2011, she is launching a contemporary sportswear line that will include separates and dresses in the $39 to $129 price range; it will be available in more than 650 stores in the U.S. and Canada. While she hasn't announced any plans to start designing bridal gowns, she's currently planning her wedding to ex-football player Eric Johnson.
