Bollywood’s famous Khans – Salman and Shah Rukh are like two grouchy boys, who try to avoid each other despite shooting not more than a couple of meters away.
Apparently, there was an obvious anxiety in the air yesterday evening at Filmistan Studios, Mumbai where SRK and Salman were shooting for their respective films.
Interestingly, the units on both the sets expected an altercation of sorts that never took place because SRK-Salman kept to their vans.
Talking to a daily, a source said, “Salman has been shooting for Atul and Alvira Agnihotri`s ‘Bodyguard’ for the last few days in Filmistan on the the third floor. SRK began shooting on the first floor. Sallu was shooting a crucial scene and so SRK`s entry had everyone on the ‘Bodyguard’ sets on tenterhooks.”
It is a known fact that two actors haven`t made their peace ever since they had an ugly spat at Katrina`s birthday bash three years ago.
“It was all fun for the ‘Bodyguard’ unit and the shoot was moving along smoothly. SRK`s visit made them go into a tense huddle though shooting continued as normally as before. No-one knew how Salman would react to his dushman being in the vicinity.”
"SRK would leave his van and just go to the studio and shoot as would Salman, who is otherwise known to sit outside his van chatting with his friends and people who drop in to meet him. The ‘Bodyguard’ unit finally heaved a sigh of relief after Shah Rukh left around midnight,” finally added the source.
Now, Bollywood Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in much-hyped look in his upcoming film, "Don 2" is no longer a secret. While the film’s publicists officially distributed SRK’s pictures from Don 2 on Sunday, fact is that his new look was leaked all over the Internet much earlier.

Lovers across the world must be eagerly waiting for Valentine’s Day to make their loved ones feel special but Bollywood celebrities, who entertain the public with romantic films, are in no mood to celebrate. Many will be working on the day while others think that it is a vogue idea to have such a day.
Shahrukh khan, the king of romance, said that he would be celebrating Valentine’s Day in jail, as he would be shooting for a film in jail on the day. Aamir Khan will spend the day in Berlin, as he is one of the jury members for the Berlin film festival. Deepika Padukone will be busy shooting for Aarakshan in Bhopal on the day and Katrina Kaif too will work like any other day.
There is also a bunch of them who thinks that there is no point celebrating Valentine’s Day. Priyanka Chopra said that one doesn’t have to wait for a single day to express one’s love. Actor Arshad Warsi also echoed in the same vain, saying that everyday is Valentine’s Day for him, as he has to make his wife happy everyday. Kareena Kapoor too has no plans for the day and wouldn’t gift anything to anyone.
Well, it looks like Valentine’s Day will be dull in Bollywood. But who knows if they secretly have good time with their loved ones or send bunch of goodies even if they can’t celebrate together!
One of the funniest movies of all times, "Angoor", will soon have a remake. The film that was originally made in 1982 by Gulzar is stated to be an iconic rib tickling comedy. And now it will have a remake with Shah Rukh Khan essaying the role originally played by Sanjeev Kumar and Kareena Kapoor filling in at Moushumi Chatterjee’s place. To be directed by Rohit Shetty, the film is set to go on floors by the end of this year.
As for Angoor, the film had Sanjeev Kumar playing a detective novel aficionado and Deven Verma, who pretends to be a bhaang lover. Both characters have their twin counterparts and all hell breaks loose when they finally encounter each other.
What precedes this encounter is a series of goofball moments. And adding to ruckus is Moushumi Chatterjee, whose intemperate bawling tendencies just add to the confusion.
Shetty after his ‘Golmaal’ series is now working on script for Angoor with scriptwriter Sajid-Farhad. The original was based on Shakespeare’s play ‘A Comedy of Errors’.
Confirming the news, a source said, “After he made Golmaal 3, everyone was wondering what Rohit Shetty’s next plans were. People were guessing if he would make a fourth sequel but the director surprised everyone by choosing to work on an Angoor remake. That he decided to work with Shah Rukh Khan on this came as a real shocker. It seems that Rohit is now wanting to work only with A-listers,”
Well, remakes are no easy task and we hope Shetty can do justice to the 1982 classic.
In 2011, the self proclaimed Badshah of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan, seems to have had a change of heart. After years of fighting from the Bollywood crown, SRK has now decided to pass it on to his biggest rivals Aamir Khan and Salman Khan.
Recently, on a chat show with Karan Johar, SRK confessed that he would like to grow up to be like Salman and Aamir. He also went on to admit that he can never be as big a star as the two Khans are.
However sources at the set also say that his statement is also an indication of the fact that Aamir and Salman entered the film industry earlier than him and so, that`s one of SRK’s ways of saying he is younger to them in experience and still has a lot to learn.

Khan was born in 1965 to Muslimparents of Pathan descent in New Delhi, India.His father, Taj Mohammed Khan, was an Indian independence activist from Peshawar, British India. According to Khan, his paternal grandfather was originally from Afghanistan.His mother, Lateef Fatima, was the adopted daughter of Major General Shah Nawaz Khan of the Janjua Rajput clan, who served as a General in the Indian National Army of Subash Chandra Bose.Khan's father came to New Delhi from Qissa Khawani Bazaar in Peshawar before the partition of India,while his mother's family came from Rawalpindi, British India.Khan has an elder sister named Shehnaz.Growing up in Rajendra Nagar neighbourhood,Khan attended St. Columba's School where he was accomplished in sports, drama, and academics. He won the Sword of Honour, an annual award given to the student who best represents the spirit of the school. Khan later attended the Hansraj College (1985–1988) and earned his Bachelors degree in Economics (honors). Though he pursued a Masters Degree in Mass Communications at Jamia Millia Islamia, he later opted out to make his career in Bollywood. After the death of his parents, Khan moved to Mumbai in 1991. In that same year, before any of his films were released, he married Gauri Chibber, a Hindu, in a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony on 25 October 1991. They have two children, son Aryan (b. 1997) and daughter Suhana (b. 2000). According to Khan, while he strongly believes in Allah, he also values his wife's religion. KHAN AS A PRODUCER:-
Khan turned producer when he set up a production company called Dreamz Unlimited with Juhi Chawla and director Aziz Mirza in 1999. The first two of the films he produced and starred in: Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani (2000) and Asoka (2001) were box office failures.However, his third film as a producer and star, Chalte Chalte (2003), proved a box office hit. In 2004, Khan set up another production company, Red Chillies Entertainment, and produced and starred in Main Hoon Na, another hit.The following year, he produced and starred in the fantasy film Paheli, which did poorly. It was, however, India's official entry to the Academy Awards for consideration for Best Foreign Language Film, but it did not pass the final selection. Also in 2005, Khan co-produced the supernatural horror film Kaal with Karan Johar, and performed an item number for the film with Malaika Arora Khan. Kaal was moderately successful at the box office.His company has gone on to produce Om Shanti Om (2007), in which he starred, and Billu (2009), in which he played a supporting role as a Bollywood superstar. Apart from film production, the company also has a visual effects studio known as Red Chillies VFX. It has also ventured into television content production, with shows like, The First Ladies, Ghar Ki Baat Hai', and Knights and Angels. Television advertisements are also produced by the company. In 2008, Red Chillies Entertainment became the owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders in the BCCI-backed IPL cricket competition.
AWARDS AND NOMINATIONS:-
Khan has been awarded several honours which includes the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award from the Government of India in 2005. In April 2007, a life-size wax statue of Khan was installed at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, London. Another statue was installed at the Musée Grévin in Paris, the same year. During the same year, he was accorded the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Order of the Arts and Literature) award by the French government for his “exceptional career”. There are also statues in Hong Kong and New York. In October 2008, Khan was conferred the Darjah Mulia Seri Melaka which carries the honorific Datuk (in similar fashion to "Sir" in British knighthood), by the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob, the head of state of Malacca in Malaysia. Khan was honoured for "promoting tourism in Malacca" by filming One Two Ka Four there in 2001. Some were critical of this decision. Beating Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan became the number one tax payer in the film industry for the second quarter of the financial year 2011. The King Khan is paying Rs. 5 crore to the Income Tax (IT) department.
Akshay Kumar is now in second position paying Rs. 4.5 crore, followed closely by Aamir Khan who paid Rs. 4 crore to the IT department.
Pataudi son Saif Ali Khan and Kapoor khandaan prince Ranbir Kapoor share the fourth position by paying Rs. 2.5 crore each. Salman Khan paid only Rs. 2 crore compared to the Rs. 2.5 crore he paid in the same quarter last year.
Among the actresses it was Katrina Kaif who came out on top, paying Rs. 1.3 crore, followed by Kareena Kapoor, who paid Rs. 1 crore.
Hrithik Roshan paid a miniscule Rs. 50 lakh compared to the Rs. 3 crore he paid in the second quarter of the 2010 financial year. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali gave Rs. 50 lakh this year compared to Rs. 25 lakh last year. Similarly, Vishal Bharadwaj gave Rs. 25 lakh against Rs. 15 lakh last year to the IT department.
Arjun Rampal is now coming once again with Shah Rukh Khan in RA 1 after OM SHANTI OM and DON - THE CHASE BEGINS AGAIN. He has finished shooting for RA 1 where he plays the lead antagonist.
"The kind of energy that Shah Rukh Khan has brought into RA 1 is amazing. Just looking at him work brings so much spirit into you to go and perform well out there. Also, (director) Anubhav Sinha's way of working is infectious too.
Though not much is known about the plotline of the film, RA 1 is said to be a futuristic film belonging to sci-fi genre. With Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor also plays an important role in RA 1.
