Lady Gaga Gets Her Freak On With The 'Judas'

The American pop singer and songwriter Lady Gaga's 'Judas', the second single from her anticipated album Born This Way, was supposed to be released on April 19, but the track has just leaked online and is now available via iTunes, Youtube, Hear it below.

Lady Gaga delivers a rowdy, industrial-disco banger, and her performance is insanely over the top, true to form. She alternates between rapping, a robotic monotone, and a crow-like squawk, before gliding into a more conventional chorus that hews closer to 'Bad Romance'.

This is one of the fastest songs Lady Gaga has recorded, tempo-wise, and her dense lyrics, which compare her damaged relationship with a cad to that of the infamous Catholic apostle Judas, don't always jibe with the frantic pulse.

Here, Lady Gaga stretches a simple phrase like 'How could I love a man so purely' into a multi-syllabic twister. How could I love-ah man so pure-ah-lay!

There's no denying the primal energy of 'Judas', still, and the awesomely dark, bass-heavy breakdown, where Lady Gaga shrieks like some sort horny futuristic droid, is one of the weirdest moments to hit the pop landscape this year.

Lady Gaga Taunted By Mounds Of Cheeseburgers

The singer Lady Gaga’s friends leave 'mounds of cheeseburgers' in her dressing room because they know she can’t eat them.

Gaga likes to take her friends as support acts on tour, but said they play cruel tricks on her, like leaving her junk food treats she can’t indulge in, due to her strict diet.

In a Google Moderator interview, which saw her answer questions submitted by fans. She explained, I don’t like surprises and I don’t like pranks.

But I have had very few famous acts open for me, it’s mostly been underground acts and DJs, people that I’ve known since I was 18.

Very often they make jokes about my diet, because I have to stay so in shape for music videos and performances, they play jokes like leaving mounds of cheeseburgers in my dressing room and stuff. It's really awful. It's vicious

Lady Gaga (24), is said to have used extreme dieting methods to stay slim early on in her career.

In Maureen Callahan's 2010 book 'Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady Gaga', the musician’s former tour manager David Ciemny claimed she would binge on junk food such as cakes and sweets, then not eat for weeks to fit into her costumes, once allegedly losing 20lbs between fittings for one of her outfits.


David Ciemny said, when I say she was sick, I mean physically and mentally.

Wendy Starland added, the pressure on her to lose weight was very high.
