Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Kate Paltrow is an American actress. She made her acting debut on stage in 1990 and started appearing in films in 1991. After appearing in several films throughout the decade, Paltrow gained early notice for her work in films such as Se7en and Emma. Following the films, Sliding Doors and A Perfect Murder, Paltrow garnered worldwide recognition through her performance in Shakespeare in Love, for which she won an Academy Award for Best Actress, a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards, for Outstanding Lead Actress and as a member of the Outstanding Cast.







Since then, Paltrow has portrayed supporting as well as lead roles in films such as The Talented Mr. Ripley, Shallow Hal, and Proof, for which she earned a Golden Globe nomination as Best Actress in Motion Picture Drama. In 2008, she appeared in the highest grossing movie of her career, the superhero film Iron Man, and then reprised her role as Pepper Potts in its sequel, Iron Man 2. Paltrow also appeared in the television series, Glee and has been the face of Estée Lauder's Pleasures perfume since 2005. She is married to Chris Martin, the lead vocalist of Coldplay.

Hollywood Walk of Fame Star for Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow, 38, has been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Faith Hill and Tim McGraw were on hand Monday to help Paltrow celebrate the unveiling of her star on the sidewalk outside Madame Tussauds celebrity wax museum. The unveiling comes in advance of the Jan. 7 release of Paltrow's new film, Country Strong, co-starring McGraw. Paltrow won the best actress Academy Award for her role in 1998's Shakespeare in Love. Fox confirmed that on Nov. 16 turn on the Fox musical smash, Gwyneth Paltrow, 38, will sing Cee Lo Green's song F*** You. But no need to alert the censors. The expletive-laden track will be renamed to Forget You when she reinterprets it on the show. She makes her live singing debut at next week's Country Music Awards, in which she'll sing Country Strong, from the upcoming flick of the same name, in which she plays a boozy country singer.

Gwyneth Paltrow, 37, will guest-star in two November episodes of Glee. She will sing and dance as a substitute teacher/glee club coach who fills in for an ailing Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison).
