HarpersCollins has confirmed that it will release A Helluva High Note_ Surviving Life, Love, and American Idol, a memoir written by_ DioGuardi, next spring.
Released by the publisher's It Books imprint, the 224-page hardcover will go on sale on April 26 and cost $24.99.
DioGuardi _ a successful songwriter who joined American Idol in 2008 and served as a judge for the reality competition's eighth and ninth seasons - claims the book is meant to inspire others to take chances to succeed.
Fox announced DioGuardi's American Idol departure in September following several weeks of reports about her fate.
I felt like I won the lottery when I joined American Idol two years ago, but I feel like now is the best time to leave Idol, DioGuardi said in a press statement at the time.
Prior to serving as a member of Idol's eighth and ninth season judging panel, DioGuardi also served as a judge for The One: Making a Music Star, a short-lived Idol-like singing competition which aired on ABC in Summer 2006.
Earlier this fall, Bravo announced DioGuardi will serve as the head judge of Going Platinum, a new reality competition for singer-songwriters.
