Kardashians Credit Card Gets Cancelled

A debit card tied to the Kardashians has been cancelled. A Minnesota lender on Monday halted sales of a prepaid debit card featuring an image of the Kardashian sisters, after Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal said the card carried "outrageous" fees that unfairly targeted financially unsophisticated young adults. University National Bank said the 250 consumers who bought the MasterCard-branded Kardashian Kard since its November 9 launch may continue using it for 30 days, and thereafter would receive refunds of balances and up-front fees.

Mary J. Blige Thought She Looked Like A Camel

Mary J. Blige used to think she was ugly.

In a new interview with an Australian newspaper, the Family Affair hitmaker admits she was insecure about the way she looked.

Blige also claimed she suffered physical beatings from former boyfriend, singer K-Ci Hailey.

I used to think I was ugly,” she said. I thought I looked like a camel. A person who doesn’t love themselves, they will see anything that pops up on their face. I’ve seen squirrels, I’ve seen a bird, I’ve seen all kinds of animals on my face. But that is the result of self-hate. I’ve learned to say: ‘You know what? I am a beautiful black woman’.

I beat alcohol dependence and drug addiction. A lot happened to me during my childhood. As I got older, these things resurfaced. In order to deal with it and in order to cope without it hurting so bad, I drowned it in alcohol and drugs. It lessened the pain for that moment. I started at 16 years old. By the time I got into the music business, it was bigger than me.

I overcame an abusive relationship by learning to love myself.

Carnie Wilson Sacked For Not Losing Weight

Singer Carnie Wilson is no longer the spokes model for the healthy food service 'The Fresh Diet' after the company severed ties with her for not losing enough weight, reports Star Magazine. The Wilson Phillips star underwent gastric bypass surgery in 1999 and lost a vast amount of weight, however, after falling pregnant with daughters 'Lola' and 'Luciana', she reached 212 pounds.

Wilson signed up to be the face of the food-delivery service, however, on 10th November 2010 the contract was scrapped following allegations that Wilson had been promoting her own brand of cheesecake while simultaneously trying to help others lose weight. The singer's representatives insist that the contract between the two parties was up, but Wilson has been accused of breaking the rules of the agreement by only losing 19 pounds. Ezzy Duchman, publicist for The Fresh Diet, said, "Carnie was promoting her cheesecakes while she was supposed to be only eating our three meals and two snacks a day", before adding, "She didn't stick to it, and she didn't lose weight. We had to cut ties with her.

Nene Leakes Fueling Divorce Rumors

Nene Leakes- The Real Housewives of Atlanta, cast member NeNe Leakes visted a lawyer to talk about her divorce options. The episode also featured husband Gregg Leakes talking to an Atlanta area radio DJ about giving NeNe Leakes $300,000 to help launch her career as a reality star. The fame got to her head, he told the DJ, I'm asking for every dime of it back.

The two got into an explosive argument and now Leakes has taken to her official Bravo blog to write about her marriage and the argument.

Gregg and I have held it together for years, but my breaking point has come. I'm one hell of a woman, and I am nobody's fool, Leakes said. When the person you love and trust betrays you, it has got to be one of the worst feelings.

She adds, Yes, Gregg is a good guy, but that doesn't mean Gregg is a good husband. All I can say is, I'm tired! Only I know what I've been through!

Leakes also says that she's trying to remain strong for the sake of her children. "I hope I was able to show my children what a strong woman looks like and stands for, she said. I will only accept loyalty and trust! My happiness is everything to me!

Leakes has gone through several changes this year including nabbing a new job as an Entertainment correspondent at a local TV station. She also recently admitted she had several plastic surgery procedures in April including a nose job, smaller breast implants and a lift, and liposuction. Parts of her procedures were show on the show during an October episode.

Sheila Bair Warns Of U.S. Debt Crisis- If Government Stalls Action

Sheila Bair_ the Federal Deposits Insurance Corp. (FDIC) warns that the U.S. could experience a fiscal crisis. According to Bair, if government debt isn't lowered soon, the U.S. may find itself in a financial crisis.

Bair wrote an editorial for the Washington Post, saying:

With more than 70% of U.S. Treasury obligations held by private investors scheduled to mature in the next five years, an erosion of investor confidence would lead to sharp increases in government and private borrowing costs. And while we enjoy a uniquely favored status today - investors still view U.S. Treasury securities as a haven during crises - events in Greece and Ireland should serve as a warning. The yields on their long-term government securities have risen from rough parity with U.S. Treasury obligations in early 2007 to levels that are hundreds of basis points higher.

According to CNBC.com, the federal debt is currently around $14 trillion - that's double the amount over the past seven years. Bair says that the increase is due to the financial crisis, as well as the U.S. government's, unwillingness over many years to make the hard choices necessary to rein in our long-term structural deficit.

Bair also explained that retiring baby boomers will impact government spending heavily as spending on Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are all expected to make up 45% of primary federal spending. In 1975, that number was only 27%.

Nicole Richie To Show Photographers To Stay Away From Her Children

Nicole Richie hopes to show that consequences will greet photographers who get too close to her children.

According to RadarOnline.com, the socialite may participate in a hearing Wednesday in a downtown Los Angeles civil court. Richie's goal is to extend a temporary restraining order against a photographer who's "getting too close" to her daughter Harlow. This will make the restraining order permanant, lasting up to three years.

Richie's attorneys Tamar Arminak and Mark Geragos will hopefully make that happen.

A source close to Richie and the hearing told RadarOnline.com:

Nicole's attorneys will put on the stand several preschool teachers from Harlow's school that have witnessed this photographer crossing the line trying to get pictures. Nicole is fiercly protective of her children, and won't tolerate this. Nicole could testify also.

The source added that Richie is very busy planning her wedding to Joel, but she will drop everything to protect their children.

Richie is married to Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden. The couple has two kids, Harlow and Sparrow Madden.

Black Eyed Peas lead singer will.i.am. says the new Michael Jackson album is disrespectful to the pop icon. The Black Eyed Peas will play at the 2011 Super Bowl half-time show on Feb. 6.

The politically outspoken lead singer of the Black Eyed Peas says that the Dec. 14 posthumous release of Michael Jackson songs is "disrespectful" to Jackson.

There's no honoring...Michael Jackson songs are finished when Michael says they're finished. Maybe if I never worked with him I wouldn't have this perspective. He was very particular about how he wanted his vocals, the reverb he used...he was that hands-on, Will.i.am told Entertainment Weekly earlier this month. The Black Eyed Peas frontman collaborated with Jackson on producing several songs in 2006. The new Michael Jackson album is due out Dec. 14.

Will.i.am, who wrote the song- Yes We Can, inspired by Barack Obama's campaign, has not been shy to voice an opinion on issues beyond the world of music. In an interview with Huffington Post music writer Steven Shehori, he criticized the emphasis on the fighting global terrorism at the expense of US domestic initiatives.

We're doing this in the name of preventing terrorism, while the youth of America is terrorized every single day on the education front because it's not equipped to compete with the youth of other countries. Think about that. Homeland Security? I thought securing the homeland involved securing education first, he said.

Earlier this year, Jaime Gomez, a.ka., Taboo, another member of the Black Eyed Peas, spoke out against the Arizona immigration law.

But such comments have not deterred the NFL from giving the Black Eyed Peas the coveted half-time gig at the 2011 Super Bowl on Feb. 6. That will be a relief to some fans since the slot has gone to past-their prime pop icons in recent years. The Peas have actually played pre-Super Bowl concerts twice before in 2005 and in 2009.

The Black Eyed Peas will release a new album "The Beginning" on Dec. 30.
